Golf Clubs near Bournemouth

Find your nearest golf course or club or golf pro in or around Bournemouth. Actually this is really great way to see all the golf courses around Hampshire at a glance. You will see distances and directions from you location and of course the all-important telephone number to check green fees and whether you can play when you want to play. Whenever I want to play it seems to be a Medal Day!

Tip! If you would like a cheap round of golf ask whether they do a Twilight rate. There is really nothing nicer than 9 holes after work - at half price!

Golf Courses

Queens Park Golf Course

Queens Park W Dr, Bournemouth BH8 9BY, UK – 01202 451675

Good golf course BUT I see litter, I see poor greens, dogs.... Fouling. They need more staff more security more gardeners more bins and all round a bit of a better place. Even I must admit the golf is splendid that feeling when you get 6 below par it just phenomenal and at this course especially the aesthetic (apart from the little, fouling, bad greens and just junk) is pure amazing. Sometimes I think that the course needs a little revamp some more golf buggies or maybe even a high quality cuisine establishment to finish a day of golf (preferably with a g&t ha ha)

As a public place it is excellent. Kept immaculately tidy, litter does not exist. There are areas attached comprising childrens' play area, picnic areas and walks. A club house open to the public which is comfortable and well stocked. I could ask for nothing more (I must check if they do fried breakfasts)

Bournemouth Gardens Mini Golf

6 Exeter Park Rd, Bournemouth BH2 5AY, UK – 01202 451451

Great value and lots of fun. 18 holes, with differing degrees of challenge, but none are impossible so even younger kids should be fine. Always busy (except if it's raining!), so you're often waiting for the people in front of you to finish play, and have people waiting behind you.

The mini golf is real good fun. It doesn't matter what age you are or your ability, whether your a Tiger Woods or a total novice. The setting is real nice, however some repairs and refurbishment are needed, but this does not affect the game and enjoyment.

Playgolf Bournemouth

Riverside Ave, Christchurch, Bournemouth BH7 7ES, UK – 01202 436436

This place is great for everyone, the 18 home course isn't too bad at all... the par 3 course is challenging for all abilities (foot golf also doubles up on the par 3). Then there is the crazy golf which is probably the best I've seen or played in the UK (almost at USA standard for a course). To top it off there is a decent bar and the food is relatively good as well. There is also a large American golf store if you need to buy anything... lastly there is a decent practice area and driving range, it really has everything you need for an afternoon of golf for everybody. Note for the par 3 course club hire is available but you need to bring your own golf balls as they are not supplied... they could do with providing range balls for this instead!

Great course when not flooded. Nice size range but could do with more to aim at, better distance markers and better ball dispensers. Great facilities and the crazy golf is amazing for the family. Reasonably priced (excluding American golf) and friendly staff.

A Brilliant Colin Montgomerie Golf Video

Buying Golf clubs and equipment - great tips

A really practical little video about buying the golf clubs and equipment that you actually need. Obviously you will need to be guided by the Pro in the golf shop but at least you can go in with some ideas If you have not bought your equipment or simply want to refresh it give this a quick watch!

Golf Equipment

American Golf - Bournemouth - Christchurch

Bournemouth American Golf, Playgolf Drive Range, Riverside Avenue, Christchurch, Bournemouth BH7 7ES, UK – 01202 311300

Very helpful, slight problem with original purchase which they identified and dealt with very efficiently with no fuss. Good service and no complaints.

Friendly staff who are willing to let you look at products without hovering over you. The shop is also well stocked but could do with items a little bit more out of the standard colours on clothing and shoes

Mighty Claws Adventure Golf

Riverside Ave, Christchurch, Bournemouth BH7 7ES, UK – 01202 436436

Mini golf is a big thing in the UK at the moment. Some people have a good effort, but mighty claws has made an exceptional one! The course is really well laid out and it feels like it was designed for a golfer. The effort that has gone into the theming is beyond words, even if the theme is a little off in areas. Great evening activity to do. Well worth the money.

Really impressive mini golf with fantastic dinosaur theme and holes that are nicely varied and have a good mix of challenges for all ages. We were there on a Saturday at 2pm which I now realise looking at Google Maps "Popular Times" was pretty much the worst time to go... I'll know for next time! So while he had to wait for a few minutes at each hole (mostly because of some big groups ahead of us that were being very slow), it was never too frustrating, and there's plenty to look at while you wait. It's expensive at £9.50 per adult, $6.50 per child, 15% family discount - but given the quality of the place and investment that has gone it I'd say it's worth the money.

The Club at Meyrick Park

Central Dr, Bournemouth BH2 6LH, UK – 01202 786000

I enjoyed being a member for over a year, still the best gym around. But the accessibility isn't great if your walking there day or night. the potholes on the car park cost me over £300 to fix 2 of my cars..No matter how careful I drove, other members had issues too and unfortunately doesn't look like it's going to be sorted out - ever! So i cancelled my very expensive membership to save myself any further damage to my vehicle.

Testing course to play. Always really well maintained. Nice gym and pool.
