Simply wonderful! We had the best time with Creative Kids UK at the V-Dub festival on the Isle of Wight. My girls made peg dolls and stop motion animation videos with plasticine. Such a positive and hands-on approach to learning, we loved every minute.

115 Club

Moordown St John's Church Of England Primary School, Vicarage Road, Bournemouth BH9 2SA, UK – 01202 301756

Friendly, fun staff, who are dedicated to the well-being of the children. Have been using the club for before and after school and have had no reason to stop. Good value too!

Head Starts Day Nursery

5 Harcourt Rd, Bournemouth BH5 2JG, UK – 01202 280430

My son has been attending Head Starts Day Nursery for over a year now (since 2016) and he really enjoys it there. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and they've recently been focusing more on getting parents involved, with events after hours, that are appreciated. The staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, always seeming positive and proactive and the kids appear happy. The back garden is a bonus and it's great to see how much they get the children outside, even in the winter months. The nursery uses Tapestry for keeping parents in the loop about their child's development and send out a useful daily email to let you know how potty training, eating and sleeping have gone in the day. The quality of provision and extracurricular activities, including local trips, has definitely improved over time. I wholeheartedly recommend Head Starts Day Nursery.

This is a great place the Staff are lovely, friendly and understanding, the Children seem to really love them. Children are greeted each morning as they arrive. There is plenty of food for them to eat through the day. At the end of the day You get a email with the days events and what your Child got up to which is nice to see. My Son has many friends there and he enjoys telling us stories of his day! when he's home.

Bournemouth School

East Way, Bournemouth BH8 9PY, UK – 01202 512609

Mostly high quality teaching with the exception of a small minority of their teachers. The standard of education is incredibly high, however the school could improve on its collection of extra-curricular activities and some improvement could be made regarding ideas on punishment. Overall, however, an excellent school suitable for all those who are willing to put the required effort into their education.

It looks like a really good school!

St. Martin's School

15 Stoke Wood Rd, Bournemouth BH3 7NA, UK – 01202 292011

Fantastic! We are so pleased that we found this school for our children. It has a lovely family atmosphere. The head teacher and staff are so enthusiastic, hard working and approachable. The small class sizes ensure plenty of individual attention and we are very happy with the curriculum and with all aspects of the school. They have their own large sports field behind the building, and are also very close to the Stokewood Sports Centre where they have swimming and gym lessons each week. Highly recommended!

Woo St Martin's! I went here and have such fond and happy memories. It got my friends and I through the 11+ and into BSG/BS and set me up very well for secondary school as I was ahead of most of the kids there in Year 7. I also remember it being a small school with a happy family vibe where no bullying took place. I loved the sports days and school trips in particular. I am still friends with some of my class today and if I still live in Bournemouth when I have my own children, St Martin's would genuinely be where I would send them.

The best language school in the UK. Huge nationality mix, nice people, great teachers and enjoyable lessons.

Cambian Wing College

126 Richmond Park Rd, Bournemouth BH8 8TH, UK – 01202 635630

Visited and like it. Meets the needs of adults with mental health conditions really well, all sorts of therapies in place. Don't worry about the colleges main description of autism, it actually helps a lot of different problems. The only thing I'd complain about is a mixture of higher and lower ability students, maybe not the best match. Brilliant either way.

Linwood School

Alma Rd, Bournemouth BH9 1AJ, UK – 01202 525107

My 3 year old started Linwood in September and I have seen a massive positive difference in him, before starting Linwood he didn't want to interact much with non family members and would keep himself to himself now he gets involved in story time and takes direction a lot better also the staff are all fab and update me everyday with how his day has gone.

I was once a pupil at linwood school going to that school made me who I am today I'll be 30 in June 2018 this time next year I will be experiencing new key factors in life living with a family who I don't know and having a job which I know nothing about, I started at linwood and quickly became a big pain in the ass to many but I soon learn how to grow up, I went on from linwood where there i failed in mainstream and went back to special school with Winchelsea roughly 20 years down the line and I still wish I was there today, while I was on the princess trust team 23 I took many of the students out to streetwise to show them the hazards of fire & rescue I would just like to say a massive thankyou to those that I was involved with teachers students ect and I hope you are all well live and kicking take care and god bless you are all.

Throop Learning Centre

Throop Rd, Bournemouth BH8 0DE, UK – 01202 309260

I cannot rate this transition school highly enough! Both the headmistress and her staff have gone out of their way to help my son and myself through a very traumatic time. The school itself is a very nice small secure environment and I would like to thank everyone at the school for their patience, kindness and their willingness to help. The teachers have made it their business to try to find a way to connect with my son and for this reason alone I would recommend the school.

Avonbourne College

Athena Teacher Training

22-24 W Hill Rd, Bournemouth BH2 5PG, UK – 01202 544166

An amazing course! John and Christine, are inspirational trainers, they guided us through a challenging workload. Intensive, as you will have no life outside of the course for 4 weeks but it is well worth the effort. As an experienced secondary school teacher, I was surprised how much more I learned about teaching at all levels. Additionally, the students at Athena Teacher Training are a joy to teach. It is certainly very good value for money.

I have just finished the course at Athena Teacher Training and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had done some teaching English as a foreign language in the past, but soon realised that I had a huge amount to learn. This course not only makes you aware of your own language, but shows you the difficulties that non-native speakers face in learning English and the best way of getting your subject over to them. The tutors, John and Christine, are dedicated to their subject and quite inspirational. The course is very intensive and not for the faint-hearted, but I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who is serious about following this route.

The teacher are so kind and friendly and they really work hard to help you learn. It was a nice experience to be their with the wonderful teachers and staff members. I really recommend this college

I've been with ETC for almost two years, and I am so thankful. I started as a student and I will never forget my very first teachers (Oliver and Grae) who were so great, and of course after them plenty of amazing teachers as well. Then, ETC has given me the opportunity to work and to grow with them and what always makes me happy is that I feel so safe here, it is not like in other company where they don't care about the well-being of the workforce. I have had the opportunity to find here amazing friends that have become my family :)

Bournemouth Language Tuition - French and English

22 Braidley Rd, Bournemouth BH2 6JX, UK – 01202 551929

I have been going to Gisele’s lessons for a couple of months now, and have been surprised with how much I’ve been able to learn in such a short time. This is a credit to Gisèle as it is a result of her hard work and the effort she puts into lessons. I am very grateful to have been recommended Gisele as I do not think I would have been able to learn so much without her! If you are looking to improve your language skills for any reason, I highly recommend Gisele’s lessons. I must also commend her for the effort she puts in away from lessons, where she sends me links/websites etc which will help me improve my language abilities. Ultimately been an amazing experience with an amazing teacher!!

A big thank you to Gisèle for helping me learn conversational French! She has very good motivational skills and the whole experience is very rewarding and enjoyable! With Gisèle you are being coached by someone who loves teaching and has a genuine interest in you achieving your goals. The lessons are well planned and structured to your specific requirements. We constantly exceed the one hour lesson as we are so engrossed in what we are doing, all at no extra cost to me. I did not think learning French could be so fun. I highly recommend Bournemouth Language Tuition for anyone wanting help learning French, Spanish or English.

bespoke languages tuition (blt)

2, 29 Bodorgan Rd, Bournemouth BH2 6NQ, UK – 01202 280507

My tutoring has been absolutely amazing, and I can’t imagine being where I am today without my tutors help. Not only is his friendly and approachable nature really encouraging for you to try your best but also you feel free to ask questions about the language. The way he tailors his teaching style to your needs is really helpful and effective. I always look forward to my sessions, as he makes sure to do a range of activities and exercises every time to expand and improve on all areas of your language skills, but also to ensure it’s always kept interesting. His attentive teaching style also ensures that if there’s something in particular you’re not sure on or struggle with, he will happily spend an hour on it to make sure that you’re confident in everything you learn. Since I have been taught by Aaron (2 hours every week) my A-level language course has become so much easier, and I have improved from a C average to getting A`s now, as he has helped me to understand and really begin to speak the language. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is either struggling with languages (which was myself a few months ago) and needs some help to boost your confidence/ability, or even if you’re wanting to be even better and to challenge yourself, as he is great with all capabilities.

My French tutor has put me back on track! He has explained the grammar well. His passion for languages is infectious, he instilled some enthusiasm in me! French is so easy when you get the hang of it. Really inspiring!
